Naa oo Naa Foundation, Nsiah Foundation donates to Nsawam Orthopedic Training Centre.

As part of the core mandate of the Naa oo Naa Foundation to support and advocate for persons living with disabilities in Ghana, the foundation in partnership with Nsiah Foundation, an NGO in Ghana, held a seminar and donation exercise to patients at the Orthopedic Training Centre in Nsawam- Ghana.
The two foundations donated food stuffs, toiletries, shoes, sandals, clothes, bags, medical/first aid items, books as well as stationeries to support the vulnerable and patients at the Centre.
The foundations also had lunch with the patients at the centre as part of the Easter celebration to make the patients feel happy and a sense of belonging.
At the seminar, the Executive Director of Naa oo Naa Foundation, Ms. Racheal Aryee , disclosed that the foundation has impacted over 9,800 lives in the country since its inception. She indicated that the move for the exercise was to encourage the children at the Centre to take their studies seriously. She highlighted that, the constitution mandates everybody including Government Institutions, Civil Society Organizations and Individuals to accommodate persons living with disabilities. In his remarks, the President of Nsiah Foundation, Mr. Daniel David Nsiah Boakye said the foundation visited about ten (10) communities across the country to touch the heart of the vulnerable with the aim to provide support for the marginalized in the society.
The Director of the Centre, Sister Elizabeth Newman, expressed gratitude to the foundations for the visit, emphasizing that she appreciates the foundations’ support towards the Centre. She further remarked that she regards the donation as an investment in the institution, and the payback that the investors should expect is good care for the patients. Sister Elizabeth concluded her remarks, stating that the Centers’ mandate is to raise funds for quality education and healthcare for the children.
The exercise was graced with a keynote message from Samuel Kwabena Owusu- Ansah, Esq., a lawyer and lecturer at the Ghana School of Law who encouraged the patients to study hard and excel in their academics, as their disability does not imply inability. Lawyer Owusu-Ansah also assured that he will be an ambassador for persons living with disabilities in Ghana and across the world.
The foundations were taken on a tour at the Centre to bring the exercise to an end.
