Naa oo Naa Foundation, Ghana School of Law SRC embarks on an Educational Empowerment Program at Mensakwaa A.E.D.A Basic School

The Naa oo Naa Foundation in partnership with Ghana School of Law Students Representative undertakes an educational empowerment program at Mensakwaa A.E.D.A Basic School in the Agona East District.
The programme included a seminar and donation exercise. The Naa oo Naa Foundation and the Ghana School of Law SRC donated learning materials and school uniforms to the pupil of Mensakwaa A.E.D/A Basic School.
At the event, the Ghana School of Law SRC President, Daniel Otting Awuah underscored the need to support deprived schools in Ghana. He highlighted that the educational empowerment programme which includes seminar and donation exercise will enable improve academic performance of these students and make these students ready for the labor markets.
According to him, the SRC and the Naa oo Naa Foundation together with its partners Mapex Realty and Service supported the students with notebooks, old storybooks, pens, other stationeries and school uniforms as our way of giving back to society.
"This is us remembering where we came from and lifting others, just as someone once lifted us,” he said.
For his part, the Project Manager of Naa oo Naa Foundation, Frederick Quaicoe on behalf of the founder of the Naa oo Naa Foundation, Lawyer Racheal Aryee noted that the foundation since inception in 2017 led group of volunteers to support a lot of deprived communities in Ghana.
This, he said include the free medical screenings and empowerment programs held by the foundation which has benefited more than thirty- five thousand persons in Ghana.
He further indicated the Naa oo Naa Foundation is uniquely positioned with its core mandate to improve the lives of individuals, especially minority and disadvantaged groups, including persons living with disabilities in Ghana through Health, Education, Entrepreneurship, with legal advocacy embedded in Education.
Mr Quaicoe believe that the educational empowerment programme will significantly contribute to the school and students of Mensakwaa.
The Headmaster of Mensakwaa A.E.D.A Basic School, Charles Baidoo bemoaned the lack of essential learning materials due to the deprived nature of parents and environments, and basic necessities such as washrooms as challenges bedeviling the school.
“By providing them with the necessary items to enhance their education. He further indicated that many of our students come from underprivileged backgrounds and struggle to access basic school supplies and personal essentials. When these items are provided, it will enhance the learning process,” he said.
He continued that the educational empowerment support will ensure students have the tools they need to participate actively in class and also improve self-esteem and motivation, as students will feel better prepared and confident and encourage school attendance, as children will no longer be hindered by a lack of basic necessities.
