FERTILITY CONSULTATION AND BREAST CANCER SCREENING 26TH OCTOBER 2024

The Naa oo Naa Foundation in partnership with The Discovery Specialists’ Hospital and IVF Centre, a private health service provider based in Accra, has organized a free fertility, breast cancer screening, awareness and treatment for the public

The Discovery Specialist Hospital & In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) Centre hospital situated in Accra with specialty in fertility assistance Technique including In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Egg Embryo and Sperm Cryopreservation, among others.

The program aims at promoting advocacy and early diagnosis of Breast Cancer in Ghana, as well as provide a platform to share holistic knowledge on policy, care and management of IVF/Fertility matters.

The founder and Executive Director of Naa oo Naa Foundation, Racheal Aryee, Esq. discussed the drive behind the collaboration and the importance of creating a supportive environment for the community. She mentioned that the event was not only focused on breast cancer detection, but also offered a range of other health services which include; Fertility Screenings, Nutritional counseling, Dental Checks, blood pressure checks and diabetes screenings.

The Director of the hospital, Mrs. Sheilla Ankrah-Aryee, speaking at the fertility and breast cancer screening, and treatment event held last Saturday in Accra, urged everyone to prioritize their health and safety.

Mrs. Ankrah-Aryee stressed that maintaining a supportive and private environment was a priority to encourage more people, particularly women, to take part in the screenings. She said the participants also received other services such as IVF consultation, breast cancer scan, pelvic scan, Sickle Check and examination as well as general medical consultation. During the breast cancer screening, participants also had the rare opportunity to engage with the psychologists.
